Mission Statement

The Veterinary Medical Informatics program will provide expertise to International Health Terminology Standards Development Organization for evaluation of SNOMED-CT^® relative to its coverage of veterinary nomenclature and for the addition of new concepts that relate specifically to veterinary medicine.

The Veterinary Medical Informatics program will provide, on a contract basis, expertise to organizations and individuals who intend to apply SNOMED-CT^® to electronic communication of veterinary medical information.

Discussion Forum	A discussion forum for SNOMED-CT^® veterinary content, and application to veterinary medical record systems.
Informatics and Terminology Projects @ Virginia Tech	Links to the various veterinary informatics projects at Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine.
Documents and Presentations	A collection of presentations and documents concerning veterinary application of SNOMED-CT^®. Includes Talbot Symposium presentations, draft documents describing application of SNOMED-CT^® and related standards in veterinary medical records systems.
